Originally Society Magazine and the accompanying SocietyMagazine.org website were a prestigious magazine published by Wellesley University.
Over time the magazine wound down and the website changed hands a couple of times.
We've since begun the process of rethinking what Society Magazine is about and how to best serve, well, society through its publication.
While we work on the first full-and-proper issue and solicit story submissions, this first version is an effort to get the site back on its way to being a proper magazine again.
Once we've made more progress with the content, we'll eventually look towards turning the publication into a proper digital magazine app.
Although there are affordable digital magazine publishing options, there's a long way between here and there.
In the meantime, you're encouraged to get into contact with us and share your story ideas!
As for getting content for the legacy Society Magazine, one place to look for it—if it's available at all—is at Archive.org.
At this point, we're still considering acquiring the prior content and making it available here (or in our eventual digital magazine app.)
